  8. Hey, I downloaded the GasLight bundle and placed it in the iTunes Plug-ins folder, where G-Force is currently placed as well, but iTunes is failing to show the visualizer in the menu!!! iTunes was off when the bundle was installed, and secondly, I restarted iTunes just in case. Still, not working!!!! What’s going on?
Thanks in advance. — Sebastian Llapur    May 21, 03:16 PM    #
  9. ^ That’s pretty odd. Would you see if anything interesting gets printed to the Console when you load iTunes? (You can find that in /Applications/Utilities/) What OS version are you running? Jonathan del Strother    May 21, 07:44 PM    #

  12. OK… I ran previous versions of GasLight without any hiccups. But neither 0.40 or 0.41 will work at all. They show up in my visualizer menu, and I can select them…. but when I try to activate the visualizer, nothing happens. 15. Hi. I have the same problem with the libstdc++.6.dylib. I’m running 10.3.8 (iTunes 4.9) on a G4. The problem somehow seem to be the new compiler used by Tiger. I’ll try one of the older versions of Gaslight … — catraxx    Jul 7, 03:31 PM    #

  18. I tried Gaslight 0.42 on my Dual G5 PowerMac (Mac OS X 10.4.6) with an ATI Radeon X800 XT. In full-screen mode it always runs in full-speed despite setting cpu-usage to low. So the fans of the Mac will spin up…

  20. Its not yet Universal Binary, so it does not work on ANY intel-based mac.
That’s pretty bad, hope there will be a UB in near future.

  22. GasLight is a beautiful iTunes visualizer. Yet, I seek one refinement, to see logarithmic scaling so the spectral power is more evenly distributed.
As an aside, check out embedded spectral imagery at:

    Very cool stuff… :)
